Intricate Celtic knotwork takes centre stage in this richly detailed quilting cotton from Makower UK. Circular medallions, interlaced trinity knots and delicate rosettes are scattered across a deep plum background, worked in shades of magenta, rose pink, forest green, warm gold and cream. The dark ground makes every fine line and swirl stand out, giving the print a jewel-like quality reminiscent of illuminated manuscripts and antique metalwork.
Woven from 100% premium cotton with a smooth, quilt-friendly handle, this fabric is easy to cut, piece and press. The medium-scale motifs suit patchwork blocks, feature panels, borders and appliqué backgrounds equally well, and the deep tonal base makes it a natural choice for adding depth and contrast to a scrappy quilt.
