Bring the richness of Indian design to your next project with the Passage to India Panel from Robert Kaufman, designed by The Culture Club. This quilting panel features eight ornate blocks set against warm golden sashing, each showcasing a different motif inspired by traditional Indian textiles and décor.
The blocks include a jewelled lattice, an elaborate Jacobean-style floral on deep crimson, sweeping peacock feathers on a soft cream ground, a framed floral medallion with black corners, and a detailed carpet-style design. Scattered paisley leaves on a black background, a starburst medallion framed with a decorative border, and a striking row of hanging tassels on crimson complete the set. The palette of burgundy, black, cream and green is brought together with rich gold accents, giving the panel an opulent, heritage feel.
Measuring 60cm x 108cm (24" x 42"), this fabric panel is easy to use. Cut the blocks apart to feature in a sampler quilt, cushion covers, a table runner or tote bags, or keep the panel whole as a ready-made wall hanging or quilt centre.
