Moda Silent Night Advent Calendar Panel

Bring the true meaning of Christmas into your home with the Moda Silent Night Advent Calendar Panel, designed by Watercolour Heart. This printed cotton fabric panel features a soft watercolour nativity scene, with Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus in the stable, surrounded by the three wise men, shepherds, gentle animals, camels and angels beneath a shining star and a "Merry Christmas" banner.

Below the nativity, 24 numbered advent pockets are printed in a palette of cream, duck egg blue, sage green, gold and rich Christmas red. Each pocket has its own design, including poinsettia florals, palm trees, stars and crescent moons, delicate leaf vines, geometric lattices and folk-inspired borders. Every day of December gets its own look, building anticipation right up to Christmas Eve.

Step-by-step instructions are printed directly on the panel, so this is a straightforward Christmas sewing project for quilters and sewists of most skill levels. The pockets are formed by pleating along the printed lines, and the finished panel can be quilted, bound and hung with a hanging sleeve or loops. Fill the pockets with small treats, scripture verses, notes or little gifts to create a family advent tradition you can bring out year after year.

A handmade advent calendar also makes a thoughtful Christmas gift for family, friends, churches or Sunday school classrooms.

Panel measures approximately 62cm W x 107cm H (24.5" x 42").
